List each motion or resolution under Decisions, for example “Approved the 2027 budget (moved Ana, seconded Luis, carried 6–0)”. Print the minutes so they can be approved and signed at the next meeting.
How to write minutes with MinutesPad
Fill in the title, date, time, location, chair and minute taker. Type who is present and who sent apologies, separated by commas or one per line; the count appears at the top. If your meeting has a quorum, enter the number required and MinutesPad tells you whether it was met.
Under Agenda & discussion, write one agenda item per line and add “(10 min)” if you want timings. Indent a line with two spaces, or start it with >, to make it a note under the item above. Record each decision on its own line. For action items, write “task | owner | due date” or “Owner: task (due date)”, and start a line with [x] once it is finished.
Checks and follow-up
MinutesPad warns you when an action has no owner or no due date, when an open action is past its due date, when the agenda takes longer than the meeting, and when quorum is not met. The panel under the preview groups every action by owner, which is handy for a quick follow-up email to each person. When the next meeting comes round, press New meeting: attendees and open actions carry over and “Review open actions” is added as the first agenda item.
Sharing the minutes
Print / save PDF prints only the formatted minutes. Copy Markdown keeps headings, lists and the action table for tools such as Notion, GitHub, Obsidian and Confluence. Copy plain text gives an email-friendly version with checkboxes. Download .md saves a file named after the meeting date.
Private by design
MinutesPad has no accounts and no server. Your minutes are kept in local storage on this device only and never uploaded.
